"Fifteen years ago I spent a short time in Scotland, and was inspired by the many different stone structures and the ageless look that can be achieved with this natural material.

Back in New Zealand I crossed paths with a stone mason in Christchurch and it wasn’t long before I started down the road of learning this craft.  A year in Cromwell at the Otago Polytechnic saw me complete my certificate in stone masonry, while working alongside local masons. My time in Central Otago allowed me to develop my knowledge and craftsmanship, working with a range of products and learning about sourcing raw material at the quarry, and following that stone right through to the customer’s project. With every job being different, I am always proud to complete the brief, leaving a unique feature, constructed to the customer’s vision.

A move to Whanganui with my family led me into completing my carpentry qualifications, and regular building work.  

With the interest in stone masonry growing in the Whanganui-Manawatu area, I'm pleased to share my passion for stone whilst also applying my carpentry trade."
